About this opportunity

We are looking for a talented website designer to join our team for 20 hours per month. You will work on a variety of marketing websites, for both one-off projects and new designs for retained clients who need our help each month.

Responsibilities

  1. Design marketing websites that catch the eye and convert viewers into customers.
  2. Translate client needs and business objectives into compelling UX/UI layouts.
  3. Create responsive, mobile-first website designs in Figma.
  4. Apply ADA accessibility guidelines for color contrast ratios, text sizing, and more.
  5. Work on one-off projects and on new designs for retained clients each month.
  6. Communicate quickly and clearly with clients and team members.

Requirements

Personal Skills · Required

  • Ability to quickly and clearly communicate with clients and team members.

  • Highly organized with finalized work.

Design Skills · Required

  • Ability to design websites that catch the eye and convert viewers into customers.
  • Ability to translate client needs and business objectives into compelling UX/UI layouts.
  • High proficiency in creating websites in Figma.
  • Years of experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
  • Knowledge of ADA accessibility guidelines for color contrast ratios, text sizing, and more.

Software Skills · Required

  • Expert in Figma, with a deep understanding of variables and auto layout, and highly organized files.
  • Experience communicating in Slack.
  • Experience working in Google Drive.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with website builders and CMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • Experience with tools like Notion, Miro, and Loom.
